Privacy Policy

A wedding list is other people's personal data: their numbers, their travel, sometimes what they eat. This page says plainly what Saathi does with it, who else touches it, and how long it stays.

Who is responsible for your data

Saathi is operated by Akta Enterprises, a sole proprietorship of Akta Rajiv Daga, in Ichalkaranji, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India (GSTIN 27AHLPD3873A1ZK). Requests about your data go to support@dagacorp.in.

Who this covers

Saathi is a wedding-planning service. Two very different groups of people appear in it, and they have different relationships with us:

  • Hosts and collaborators: the people who sign in and plan a wedding. They chose Saathi and hold an account with us.
  • Guests: the people a host invites. Guests never create an account. Their details are entered by the host, and we process those details on the host's instructions.

If you are a guest and want your details corrected or removed, the fastest route is to ask the couple or planner who invited you. You can also write to us at support@dagacorp.in and we will pass the request on and act on it.

What we collect

Account details. Your name and email address, from the Google account you sign in with. If you connect WhatsApp for yourself, your mobile number and the fact that it has been verified.

Wedding data you enter. Guest names and mobile numbers, which side of the wedding they belong to, RSVP status, households, room and hotel allocations, the itinerary, travel plans and flight or train details, private notes you write about a guest, and budget figures.

Messages. WhatsApp messages sent through Saathi and the replies guests send back, including delivery and read status.

Travel tickets. If a guest sends a ticket on WhatsApp in reply to a travel request, or someone on the wedding team uploads a guest's ticket, Saathi reads the travel details from it for the wedding team to review. Saathi does not keep the file: it is emailed to the address the wedding's owner or planner has confirmed for tickets (or their account's default one), and once there it is kept according to that mailbox's own settings. If no address has been confirmed, the file is not kept at all.

Voice and photo capture. If you dictate a guest list or photograph a written one, the recording or image is sent to a transcription provider, converted to text, and the text is what we keep.

Contacts import. If you choose to import from Google Contacts, your browser talks to Google directly and only the contacts you select reach us. The Google token never touches our servers. We read only names and phone numbers, only to add the people you pick as guests on your wedding, never to contact them ourselves, advertise, or for any other purpose. You can also skip Google entirely by loading a contacts file (.vcf) exported from your phone.

Guest photos. If a host connects Google Drive, Saathi asks only for permission to create and manage the files it adds (Google's “drive.file” access). It cannot see anything else in that Drive. Saathi creates one folder for the wedding and adds the photos and videos guests choose to share. From the invite link, each file goes straight from the guest's phone to the host's Drive. Photos a guest sends on WhatsApp pass through Saathi only long enough to be added. We keep a record of who shared a file and its name, not the photo itself. Photos are never read by AI and never used for anything else. A host can disconnect Drive at any time; the photos stay in their Drive.

Google user data. Saathi's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don't sell it, use it for ads, or let people read it, except with your consent, for security, or where the law requires. Google user data, whether raw, aggregated or derived, is never used to create, train or improve any AI or machine-learning model, ours or anyone else's, and is never transferred to a service that would use it that way. The contacts you import become guests on your wedding, and like the rest of your wedding data, Saathi's assistant may read them to answer your questions.

Billing. Payment records and receipts. Card and bank details are handled entirely by our payment processor. They never reach Saathi's servers and we cannot see them.

Operational logs. Error and performance logs, scrubbed of personal data before they are written.

Why we use it

To run the service you asked for: storing your wedding, sending the messages you approve, collecting travel details from guests, allocating rooms, and producing the lists and exports you use on the day.

To operate the AI features. Saathi's assistant reads the wedding data in your account to draft entries and suggestions. It proposes; nothing is written to your wedding until you approve it.

To bill you, to keep the service secure and available, and to comply with the law.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your wedding data or your guests' details to advertise to anyone, and we do not use it to train AI models.

Who processes it with us

Saathi runs on services operated by other companies. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job:

  • Clerk: sign-in and account management.
  • Supabase: the database your wedding is stored in.
  • Vercel: hosting, and storage for media you attach.
  • Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform): delivering messages and receiving replies. Meta's own terms and privacy policy govern what happens inside WhatsApp itself.
  • OpenAI (API Platform): the assistant, reading travel details and tickets, and turning voice notes into text. We call OpenAI's API directly, with no gateway or other AI provider in between. Content is sent for processing and returned; it is not used to train their models: sharing API data with OpenAI is switched off for our account.
  • Razorpay: payments.
  • Flight data providers: resolving a flight number you have approved into an arrival time and terminal.
  • Upstash: caching and rate limiting.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people using the service.

WhatsApp messages

Messages go out from a WhatsApp Business number we operate. A guest who does not want to hear from us can block or report the number in WhatsApp, and can ask the host to remove them from the guest list, which removes them from every future send.

Replies from guests are stored against the wedding they belong to, so the host can see the answers to what they asked. Anything a guest writes back is treated as untrusted input: it is never allowed to instruct our AI or change a record on its own.

How long we keep it

  • Trial weddings are removed 30 days after the event, with a final export kept for 90 days.
  • Paid weddings are archived 60 days after the event and never deleted automatically.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting it removes your account and the weddings it owns. Records we are legally required to retain, such as payment and tax records, are kept for as long as the law requires.

Your choices

You can view and edit every record in your wedding directly. Saathi is built so that nothing is hidden behind the AI. You can export your data from Settings, correct or delete any guest, and delete your whole account.

Depending on where you live you may also have rights to access, correct, port, restrict or object to our use of your data. Write to support@dagacorp.in and we will respond.

Security

Access to a wedding is limited to the people the account owner has invited, and to the side and permission level they were given. Data is encrypted in transit. Webhooks are signature-verified, secrets are held server-side only, and logs are scrubbed of personal data before they are written.

No service can promise perfect security. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Children

Saathi is not directed at children and we do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under 18. A host may list a child as a wedding guest; that record is the host's to manage, and we will remove it on request.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will tell account holders directly.
